Personal attorney guidance at every step

Convenience should come with a clear understanding of your plan. Our virtual service brings the attorney relationship online: advice tailored to your circumstances, documents prepared for your goals, and a guided review so you understand what you are signing.

You have someone to ask about the decisions that matter: who should act for you, how your family should receive property, whether a trust fits your needs and how your assets connect to the documents. We explain the choices in plain language and work through your questions together.

What can we prepare online?

Your plan may include a will, a revocable living trust, financial and health care powers of attorney, and related documents. We help you:

  • Choose who receives your property and when.
  • Identify who should handle decisions if you cannot.
  • Consider guardianship nominations and arrangements for younger beneficiaries.
  • Coordinate real estate, business interests and beneficiary designations.
  • Review an existing plan after marriage, divorce, a move or a change in assets.
  • Address estate-tax planning when relevant.

How the complete online process works

1. Meet with your attorney

Start with a free 15-minute introductory call to discuss your needs and whether the firm is a fit. Once we agree on the engagement, meet virtually with your attorney to discuss your family, property, concerns and goals.

2. Prepare your plan

We gather the information needed to prepare your documents and explain the recommended approach. Your attorney helps you make the decisions that shape the plan, including who will act for you and how property should pass.

3. Review the documents together

Your attorney walks you through the proposed documents, explains what they do and answers your questions. We work through revisions before signing so the plan reflects your decisions and you understand how it works.

4. Sign and notarize online

We guide you through online signing and notarization and coordinate the required witnessing and execution procedures. Your attorney manages these steps as part of the service, with the procedures appropriate to your documents and state.

5. Complete recording and implementation

When your plan calls for recording documents, we handle the recording process remotely. We also guide you through trust funding and coordination of ownership and beneficiary designations as applicable to your engagement. The service carries through to putting your plan into effect.

Available throughout Illinois and Missouri

Our office is in Columbia, Illinois, and our virtual services reach clients across both states. You can work with us from Chicago, Springfield, St. Louis, Kansas City, rural communities or anywhere else in Illinois or Missouri.

Your attorney addresses the state-specific requirements for your plan and coordinates the online process. Tell us where you live and where you own property so those details are part of the planning from the start.
