Meet the attorney

I was raised in a small town in Southern Illinois, where I learned the value of hard work and community. After high school I joined the U.S. Army, serving in Washington, D.C. and completing a combat deployment in Afghanistan. I went on to earn my bachelor's degree with honors from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, worked in state government in Springfield, and — while working full-time — earned both my law degree and MBA from the University of Illinois in Champaign.

My military service remains one of the greatest honors of my life, and it still guides how I work. My wife and I are foster parents, and we live in rural Millstadt with our four children. That commitment to service — to clients, community, and country — is the foundation of this practice.

In my work, I help individuals, families, and business owners build and preserve generational wealth through comprehensive estate and business planning. With a focus on tax-minimization strategy and a deep understanding of wealth transfer, I build personalized plans rooted in clarity, integrity, and long-term thinking — whether that's a young family's first estate plan or a business owner's succession.
